Well, The other night I had a dream.
I found myself standing outside of a Train station of sorts. Large mag-lev style rail behind me, with a ticket kiosk in front of me. I get in line and wait my turn. When I approach the kiosk, I realize that everything on it is written in Japanese, and The machine's voice prompt was in Japanese as well. The guy who was behind me must of figured out that I was confused, and took my forearm and swiped my wrist over a reader. The bracelet that I was wearing flashed a couple times and then a green light lit up, and the guy smiled and gestured towards the track.
So I approach the track and I look down the long platform, then the 'train' rush past me from behind and rapidly came to a hault. This train was /huge/. was tall as a 2 story house, and each segment was about as long as one. Friggin huge. Massive doors the size of Shop doors poped out then slid to the side. Everyone boarded, and I kinda wandered in, mouth hanging open and looking at the place inside. It was like I stepped into a ballroom of sorts.
High celings, Huge windows showing the outside, and the doors closed to blend in with the wall seamlessly. The train took off like a shot, but there was no sense of motion from inside. The station was there, then it was gone, with the city shooting by at incredible speeds. If ya ever saw starship troopers and saw the subway/tram type thing. Basically kinda like that. BOOM! and it's gone.
It only seemed to take a short while, and Then I arrived at another station. The wall poped outwards and seperated, letting people off. I step out into a city street, and wander about looking around. Seemed like a typical street and I just walked for a bit. I heard the scream of an engine, and I turn around to see a sub compact suv type car thing pull up. and stop next to me. Then
sowelu is hanging out the drivers door telling me to get in. Excited to see him, I run to the car and hop in the passenger seat. He then turns to look at me and says. "I know where to get the BEST noodles here, But we have to be quick, the place will be closing soon."
So we take off down some rural road cruising at a pretty good speed. The sun is starting to sink in the sky and it starts to take on an orange color, tinting the landscape. We pull up to place, A HUGE pagoda style building with a big staircase. We hop out of the car and clamber up the steps, with the doors opening as we reached the top.
"Sorry, Our tables are Full."
"What?!"
"i'm sorry, We cannot seat you. We're full."
"Dude, I came all this way for the Best Yakisoba ever, and you're not gonna let us in?"
"I'm sorry, but there are no more seats four you."
Then the doors slowly close. We turn around and look over the grass in front of the building where the car was parked. It had reached twilight. Stars starting to slowly show, and the sun well past the horizon. We looked at eachother and shrugged.
"Well, I guess we'll have to go kill that deer ourselves." and started walking down the stairs.
----
Now I wanna know what Deer Yakisoba tastes like.
